I reckon they'll release it sooner rather than later as I remember there being black gamecubes fairly quickly after release (I might be wrong though!). I sent an e-mail the other day to nintendo customer service asking about the black nintendo will and all I got in response was "There is no confirmation from Nintendo of any colours, regards, your nintendo customer care team".
